The Complaint Department

We have decided to share with the global community our experience
with the worst Web Hosing company we have EVER dealt with!
After reviewing their rating with the Better Business Bureau (an F)
and reading the hundreds of complaints from other people...as well
as reading the completely FALSE statements GISOL has made, not
only to the California Dept. of Justice but also to the better business
bureau regarding our accounts with them, we feel it imperative that
the truth be show.

I am extremely detailed oriented and I make copies of everything.
When I create an account or cancel one, I take a computer snapshot
before I hit submit.  I save every pertinent email and within the
parameters of the law, record conversations.

After reading the response that GISOL gave the Better business bureau
and the California Dept of Justice concerning our complaint we just had
to share our information with all of you who may be in a similar situation.
This company has committed fraud by not refunding money that was sent
to them via a paypal subscription--twice on a closed account and then can-
celling our paid account because our credit card company found in favor of
us--that GISOL was NOT entitled to receive money on a closed account.  We
repeatedly request a refund for this money.  I have dozens of emails sent to
every dept. (I could think of) of GISOL proving this.  I will add copies of these
to this site soon.
I have to wonder, HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY THESE EXTRA FUNDS IN
THEIR ACCOUNTING, INCOME AUDITS?  FREE BONUS MONEY?

I will be adding more to this site as time allows, as well as links directly to all
the proper authorities for your convenience.

This is the letter we wrote to the Dept. Of Justice, State of California
regarding our dealings with GISOL.

Re:  Accounts 1397370 closed 08/02/06 and account 2207989 suspended

To whom it may concern at GISOL:

As per your reply (enclosed) to the California Attorney General you made many serious false statements.   The account to which the charge back was made was for an account that had been closed for over one year, but had been receiving money through a paypal subscription.  We, were unaware that when the account 1397370 (witznd) was closed, Aug. 2, 2006 to upgrade to the current and fully paid account 2207989 (IPaintIt) that a paypal subscription would continue to send $95.40 to GISOL.  We were told by Gisol when we closed the account—same day as billing, that we would not be billed.  We were never told that we must cancel a paypal subscription and your cancellation policy never informed us of the either. For well over a year, (see enclosed) we tried to get a refund for money sent to a closed account.  Not only did we not receive a refund but we were never told that we needed to cancel a subscription or money would be sent to Gisol indefinitely on a closed account!  What type of unethical business practice is that.

When we received a notice (Aug. 3, 2007) from paypal that the account (witznd-closed account) had automatically sent $95.40 to GISOL we contacted GISOL and informed you that this had happened.  Over a dozen emails were sent to Refund, sales and admi@gisol.com.  We received no reply from GISOL, but were sent from one dept. to another via your live chat and your ticketing system.  After waiting until the month of October to receive a refund from GISOL,  Paypal advised us to initiate a charge back directly from our Credit card company, which we did and were successful in obtaining because they deemed it as a fraudulent charge. Furthermore Paypal informed us today that once a client cancels an account on a subscription, the merchant should cancel the subscription on their end, just like any other reoccurring payment.  The merchant is not entitled to receive payment on an account that is closed!  And considering that we still have not received a refund from payment sent to the closed “witznd” account from 2006, we certainly were not going to let the time lapse again to get a refund for the 2007 payment sent to a closed account through a paypal subscription.

As soon as this charge back was initiated for payment sent to a closed account, we were notified by gisol by email that our open account 2207989 (IPaintIt) had been suspended.  We sent numerous emails to Gisol, as to the reason this account (which was paid in full) was suspended with no response for well over 2 weeks.  Finally Gisol wrote and told us that it had been suspended because of a charge back on the account.

You factiously state to the Ca. Attorney General, “We had been in contact with Mr. Cross to try to resolve this issue but he is unwilling to pay for services that have been rendered to him…. To date we still have not received payment from Mr. Cross for his web hosting services and they continue to be suspended.” This is out right libel!

We contacted GISOL’s charge back department to see why a paid in full account had been suspended, and were told by a very nasty Shawn Anderson (whom I suspect has many aliases) that both accounts were like one account, even though they were totally different accounts, with completely different account numbers….one closed for over a year and one current and paid in full. Mr. Anderson told us that the money the paypal subscription automatically sent to GISOL to a closed account was credited to our Ipaintit.com account.  We knew this was not true, or our yearly invoice would have reflected a credit, which it did not. We demanded to see an accounting of this on paper.  We were assured that it would be put in the mail.  That was over a month ago and have not received anything!

The Ipaintit account is paid $119.40 in full by an automatic paypal subscription on Aug. 3, 2007 (see enclosed).  This account, which was open and working as our only form of advertising was paid in full!  Not only do you have documentation to prove this, but we do also.   So to claim that we owe you money and to make false, libel statements to the California Attorney General is fraudulent, perhaps criminal.

As it is you still owe us for keeping money ($95.40) sent to you on a closed account through a PayPal subscription in 2006.  As well as, for suspending our Ipaintit account that is paid in full ($119.40) through Aug. 2, 2008.

We demand a full accounting of monies you claim we owe you to re-establish an account that is paid in full,  to be sent via United States Postal Mail and I will continue with the California Attorney General to make sure GISOL does not persist with these fraudulent business activities.

Cancellation of Original Web hosting account, Made as per GISOL policy, through their online cancellation page:

Cancellation of Our second hosting account--after they suspended it:

I always take a  picture of any cancellation I make online!

I am just amazed at the lies I have told by GISOL!  I called them back in Nov. 1-323-924-1109 and spoke to a Shawn Anderson in a Texas office, who actually told me that my account had a CREDIT from the overpayment!  I wrote to them and told them to produce paperwork on this so called credit...He said it would be sent in the mail....NEVER received it!  Imagine that.

We had 20 accounts on that account because we had a hosting plan that offered UNLIMITED domain hosting...So I am not sure why they thought that was relevant to add in ther BB reply.

I will be adding more to this as time goes by.  But I hope this was helpful to someone.
